The widow of controversial Muslim cleric Aboud Rogo was on Friday charged over the recent botched terror attack on the Mombasa Police Station.

According to the prosecution, Haniya Saggar failed to give information about the attack mastermind Tasmin Yakub.

Yakub was among the three attackers killed during the September 11 incident that left two police officers injured.

Saggar denied the charges before Mombasa Principal Magistrate Diana Mochache who will rule on her bail application on Monday.

She is the first suspect to formally charged in relation to the attack.
