The widow of controversial Muslim cleric Aboud Rogo has been detained by a Mombasa court until Friday over terror-related charges.

Haniya Said Saggar was arrested on Wednesday by Ati-Terror Police officers for allegedly having links to three women who attempted to attack the Mombasa Central Police Station.

The prosecution applied that, Saggar should be detained for 14 days to allow completion of investigations.

The court will rule on whether the accused should be detained for the days requested by the State Council.

Led by Eugene Wangila, the prosecution filed an application requesting for more days to enable security agencies expand their investigation and also establish the mastermind of the attack.

Saggar is accused of communicating with one of the women moments before the attack was launched.

On Wednesday, the court directed that three Somali refugees accused of harbouring the attackers to undergo health and phychiatric tests.
