A class four pupil in Ongata Rongai town, Kajiado County has committed suicide, the child who was identified as Mutheti was found dead in their house on Wednesday evening.According to a neighbor, the deceased’s mother had told them that the boy had warned her that he will kill himself if she continues to let him take care of their child and not to report to school.Their landlady Ms Salome said she saw the boy washing clothes outside before getting into the house. He was taking care of their one year child since the mother was away at work in Kiserian."I heard his young sister knock the door and a child was crying in the house, the door was locked inside, we had to break into the house and found him hanging dead, the mother was called since she was still at work,” she said.The landlady said she had to help the mother to settle in her houses without paying rent two weeks ago and she has little information about the family but she heard that her firstborn had also died in a similar way. She had told her that she separated with her husband and their previous house had been locked by their landlord since she failed to pay rent, she had been given money by a local church to feed the children.Ongata Rongai police officers took the body to the mortuary and the OCPD Silas Ringera said police are still investigating the incident.
