Kisumu County Woman Representative Rosa Buyu has taken back to hospital the two and a half year old girl who was shot and injured in Kisumu.

Buyu who visited the family in their rented house in Nyamasaria on Thursday said the little girl must be taken back to hospital.

This is as a result that the girl is in severe pain making her to cry all the time.

The MP said the girl must be taken for medical review to relieve her from the severe pain.

“I am paying for her medical bill at Aga Khan Hospital so that doctors can review her condition. Her mother is saying that the little girl is crying all through the night, that must be checked,” she said.

The little girl was discharged from the hospital after doctors managed to remove a lodge bullet on her shoulder.

Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Teaching and Referral Hospital chief executive officer Dr Juliana Otieno had ruled the girl out of danger.

Buyu also condoled with the mother of the 18 year old student who was shot dead during the demonstration.

She condemned the police action and wondered why police had to use live bullets to quell the demonstrators.

“It is sad that we are losing young people to police brutality, so sad,” she said.
