The Kisumu Women Representative Rose Nyamunga has cleared the air about her ambitions for the next general election.

Nyamunga has declared that she will be defending her seat on an ODM party ticket during the 2017 elections.

While speaking in Ahero on Tuesday, the lawmaker dismissed rumours that she was planning to vie for Nyando parliamentary seat.

"I going to defend my seat so that I can accomplish my pledges to you people. Any information contrary to what I have said should be treated as rumour," said Nyamunga.

The legislator was speaking in Ahero during the launch of an initiative dubbed 'Stop Violence Against Women'.

Nyamunga is set to face her fierce rival Rosa Buyu who has already declared interest in the KIsumu seat.
