[Photo: standard.co.ke]Dr Roselyn Akombe, former IEBC commissioner, broke down during a radio interview in one of the international radio station, American NPR radio.Nation reports Akombe got emotional while trying to shed off the ‘opposition-mole’ tag at the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission.The ex-commissioner had in several occasions been accused of being a Nasa mole. Reports that she always dismissed. “I cannot be a crazy person who has woken up and is raising these issues. I’m speaking out because I care for that country, I passionately care about my country. I do not want to see my country going down again,” Akombe said during the radio interview as she fought back her tears as quoted by the daily.“I am speaking out because I’m hoping that there are some sober heads who will take this up and redeem that country (Kenya), before it goes down the drain…sorry you got me a bit emotional, I wouldn’t be able to continue with this interview,” Akombe told the interviewer.Akombe resigned from IEBC on Wednesday, October 18, 2017 noting she does not want to go down in history for presiding over a "mockery election".
