A major row has emerged between Naivasha Sub County Municipal council and the Kenya Urban Roads Authority (KURA) over roads rehabilitation in the streets.
The council pointing an accusing figures to the authority of failing to involve them in the works which they term as sub standard and shoddy.
The business community has also thrown its weight behind the council and wants the Cabinet Secretary for roads to intervene and save the taxpayer millions of shillings.
Addressing the media after visiting the ongoing projects, the leaders expressed their anger and disappointment over the works.
During the visit, it emerged that some of the drainage tunnels and their covers had already collapsed a week after they were repaired.
Led by Lake View Ward representative MCA Simon Wanyoike Wanango expressed their displeasure on the ongoing works terming them as wanting.
Wanango said that the council was helpless and could not act as the works of roads and drainage maintenance was now under KURA.
Efforts to get comments from KURA South Rift Manager Richard Maritim were fruitless.
