Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria on Thursday had a day to forget following yet another resistance from NASA allied youths in Nyamira.

He was leading President Uhuru Kenyatta’s campaigns along with famous Mbele Iko Sawa team that traversed the broad Gusii region on Thursday and Friday.

Trouble started when Kuria, a confident of Uhuru, rebuked opposition leader Raila Odinga to the anger of hundreds of NASA supporters who started chanting anti – Jubilee slogans.

Despite efforts to claim the team, Kuria was forced to cut short his speech with some protesters smearing the caravan with human waste as the Jubilee team departed hastily from the South Nyanzan town.

For around one hour, the team chanted pro – Odinga slogans in the town insisting that elections will only be held after ‘radical surgery’ in the electoral commission.

On July, Kuria faced a similar resistance in the region as the meeting turned ugly when he similarly rebuked Odinga days to elections.

IEBC data for August 8th polls shows that Uhuru scored 52 percent in the county that has traditionally supported Odinga.
