Orange Democratic Movement's (ODM) Sunday rally at Tononoka grounds was cut short after two MP aspirants clashed.
Former KTN journalist Mohamed Ali, popularly known as Moha Jicho Pevu and Saeed Salim are said to have clashed over party leader Raila Odinga's endorsement.
According to the Nation, the drama ensued when Saeed, alias Saedo, pushed Moha who was holding the microphones aside, and attempted to snatch the mics away.
Saedo's supporters then started booing Moha and threw bottles at him to prevent him from addressing the crowd, forcing other leaders who were on the podium to scamper for safety.
Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho was forced to end the rally prematurely as other politicians scrambled for a chance to address supporters.
“Basi sasa tunamaliza mkutano wetu hapa. Kwisha sasa, Wacha watu waende nyumbani (We will end our rally here. It is over, let people go home now,” said Joho, as quoted by the daily.
