Nairobi Governor Evans Kidero was on Thursday forced to pay an impromptu visit to public toilets at the Olympic bus terminus in Kibera.

This was after being forced to do so by rowdy youth who wanted him to inspect the condition of the washrooms which they claim are not in proper condition.

Kidero who was on hisway back to the CBD after the launch of Sarang’ombe Ward Strategic Plan at Kamukunji grounds, had to alight from his car together with his full convoy to honor the request by the public.

His public address while standing at the entrance of ‘Nyang Tek Bathroom & Toilet’ was enough to cool tempers down as he promised to financially intervene to ensure improvement in the conditions of projects run by the county government.

“I have seen everything as you requested and indeed I have realised that we have to improve. I will ensure that we get more funds for improving these services,” said Kidero.

“I acknowledge that there are some bits we have not done right and for that case, I want to ensure that we allocate more facilities for the same,” he added.
