The youth raided Serian FM in Samburu ordering Nominated Senator Naisula Lesuuda (Jubilee, TNA) who was being interviewed to leave the radio station.

The Senator who addressed the media after the incident condemned the organizers of the raid saying she will not be intimidated.

"I had gone to Serian FM which is one of our local radio stations and I had gone to discuss matters to do with voter registration and also to market my manifesto since I am an aspirant for Samburu West Member of Parliament," she told journalists.

"Once we got there we were welcomed very well but it's unfortunate that in the middle of the interview there are youth whom I don't know where they came from."

She said she believes the youth were sent by her opponent.

"They knocked the door, but luckily the gentleman I was with in the studio was quick enough to lock the door but they went further to bung it and threatened the gentleman who was with me."

"They even threatened that they will burn down the station if I am not disrupted or if I do not stop the interview."

She said she has her supporters and was ready to counter any threats directed at her.

"You will not intimidate me and you will not stop me from going for my dreams, and I want everyone to know that I am going for this seat."

Samburu West constituency is currently represented in Parliament by Lati Lelelit.
