“Hon Aarama is our MP and we want him released. He has not stolen or killed anyone, why is he being held since Friday? We will not leave here until the MP is released,” they said.

This went on for almost 30 minutes before the police warned the youths of the implications of their chaotic moves at the police station prompting the youths to disperse.

Earlier on Nakuru Town East MP who paid a visit to MP Arama at the police staion had informed media that the MP was in good health.

“I have visited Arama this morning and I can confirm to you that he is in good health. Let me also inform you that indeed several attempts to have him out on police bond have failed and we therefore hope he will appear in court on Monday,” said Gikaria.

“We are optimistic that justice will prevail once he appears in court on Monday,” he said.

Some 15 detectives from the Ethics and Anti Corruption Commission (EACC) arrested the legislator  at about 9pm  on Friday along Kanu Street in Nakuru before he was taken to Railways police station.
