Royal Philips has opened its first Community Life centre in Kenya as an integrated solution for primary healthcare and service facilities.
The facility, which been introduced in collaboration with the county government of Kiambu’s health department, will be located in Githuri Langata healthcare centre.
The facility is set to improve access to primary healthcare which has been a key challenge in the area and across many parts of Africa.
Speaking during the launch on Friday, Kiambu County Health executive Jonah Mwangi said the health facility will be turned into a community hub where technology will be bundled with services.
He added that the county is set to strengthen the healthcare system at primary levels as the residents will now be able to receive all the services at the health centre.
He praised Kiambu Governor William Kabogo who he said has been going around ensuring the health sector is taken care of in his county.
