A 35-year-old businessman in Ruai was on Tuesday charged with defiling his underage daughter.
The man is accused of defiling the 13-year-old girl between May 2013 and January 2017 at the Ruai shopping center, Njiru.
He also faces alternative charges of indecently touching the girl without her consent.
According to police, the suspect lives with the complainant and has been defiling and threatening her not to reveal the secret.
The complainant said that her father defiled her at times when the mother was not around.
The girl said that this trend continued for long at that the father would ask her to remain behind in the sitting when other siblings went to be.
It was only after the complainant told a neighbour that the latter introduced her to a lawyer who pressed the matter to court.
The case will next be mentioned on March 8 to determine a ruling over bond.
