Kenyan rugby player Mike Okombe has died after being stabbed while at his Nakuru home.
According to reports, the Topfry Nakuru RFC player aged 27 was killed by his 37-year-old girlfriend MaryAnne Mumbi at Olive in a friend's birthday party Saturday night.
Rongai OCPD Japhet Kioko has confirmed the incident and said the two had an argument before the attack.
"Mr Okombe and his lover, Ms MaryAnne Mumbi, were attending a birthday party of their friend, a Mr Okoth. The two had an argument before Ms Mumbi went for a knife, which she used to stab Mr Okombe to death," Kioko said.
The woman fled after the incident that left Okombe dead on the spot.
