Speaking at the company’s headquarters in Ruiru town on Monday, Mungai said that the rampant water shortage was due to poorly laid pipes.

He noted that the company’s inspection team has done a good job since they have relayed the water pipes.

“The inspection team have re-laid the burst pipes and is still going on to check where there could be a fault and address it,” said Mungai.

Mungai appealed to the public to pay their bills on time to reduce water disconnections which he said it results to pipe leakages.

He noted that residents will now get a consistent water flow from their taps at a reduced price due to changes realized in the company's service delivery.

The officer reminded residents of their commitment to offer quality services to their clients.

“We will make sure that all people in the county get clean water to drink and also to wash. We are very committed to ensuring that the hygiene and health of the residents is prioritised,” said Mungai.
