Police in Ruiru sub-county have retrieved the body of a five-year old girl who was reported lost after the mysterious death of her parents last week.
The body of the deceased girl, who was brutally murdered, was found in the woods by residents who later informed the police.
Confirming the incident, Ruiru OCPD Isaac Thuranira said that police who arrived at the scene suspected that the girl was one of the missing three kids who disappeared on Tuesday last week.
Thuranira said that he had informed the family of the deceased lawyer Paul Muga of the missing children and the family identified the child as Tiffany Muthoni.
The police however confirmed that Tiffany’s siblings Allen, 9, and Ryan, 8, were still missing but they have launched a search to find them with the hope of finding them alive.
On Monday detectives investigating the mysterious deaths of the couple obtained their phone records which they said was crucial in the investigation.
Andrew Kamau, the brother to the deceased husband told the press that the family was undergoing aggravation in trying to trace the whereabouts of the three children.
He said that it was a double tragedy to lose a brother and a sister-in-law and a mysterious disappearance of his nephews and niece.
A house-help who worked for the family has told police she last saw the children on the day they left with their father, who later returned home alone, and left again.
The body of the deceased girl is lying in Thika level five hospital mortuary.
