Police in Ruiru police station are searching for armed bandits who stole an official vehicle belonging to a Catholic priest in Kimbo area of Ruiru Sub County.
According to the priest, Zechariah Muhota, he was arriving to the parish after his busy day last night at about 830pm when he was ambushed by three armed men right outside the St Patrick’s Catholic Church Kimbo Parish gates. The thugs allegedly forced him out of his vehicle and drove away in it.
He said that a car which has been purchased by the catholic believers to spread the gospel cannot be used to perpetrate crime against innocent residents
“Any equipment which has been purchased by the believers for working for Gods mission will never benefit any man with an ill intention against innocent people. I am requesting the police to make haste in tracing that car so that it should not be used in perpetrating crime,” Father Muhota said.
Ruiru OCPD Isaac Thuranira said that the police were trying to trace the car.
“We are still tracking the car. Anyone who sees it should inform us," Thuranira said.
