[Photo | Elvinas Ronoh]A ruling on an election petition against Nandi Hills Member of Parliament Alfred Keter will be delivered on March 1, 2018.Eldoret High Court Judge George Kimondo set the date after parties in the case submitted their final submissions on Wednesday.During the submissions, the petitioner in the case Bernard Kitur through his lawyer Amos Magut told the court that Keter conducted illegal campaigns on 6th and 7th of August.He also accused the vocal Jubilee MP for engaging in voter bribery."IEBC failed to take actions even after a complaint by my client about the illegal campaigns and election malpractices were reported to them," Magut told the court.Keter through his lawyer Bernard Langat, however dismissed the allegations in the petition terming them as mere hearsay.The MP insisted that he was validly elected and asked the court to dismiss the petition.IEBC declared Keter as the winner of the Nandi Hills Parliamentary seat after garnering 28,923 votes with Kitur an independent candidate garnering 13,872 votes.
