[Photo|ODM]A section of MPs from NASA's ODM party were chased away by the police, Sunday.The lawmakers were at the Supreme Court buildings trying to pray, after the alliance called for vigil prayers, in relation to the presidential petition filed at the Supreme Court, contesting President Uhuru Kenyatta's win, in the August 8 polls.Police could not allow the prayer group, continue with its prayers, Sunday afternoon.Officers both on horses and on foot, chased them away, a move that saw Nasa supporters engage them in running battles, across city streets.The MPs chased away include; Ken Okoth (Kibra), Simba Arati (Dagoretti North), John Mbadi (Suba) and Homa Bay Woman Representative Gladys Wanga.

Wanga who was dressed in white attire, had started to pray, saying Nasa presidential candidate Raila Odinga and his deputy Kalonzo Musyoka, required God's guidance all along the petition process."Lord we call you to be present in that court because what we need is the truth and nothing but the truth. We kneel down here and we surrender Raila, Kalonzo and the Nasa team to you," she prayed.

The leaders had also attended a prayer service by the Repentance and Holiness Church Prophet David Odour, at Central Park.Nairobi police commander Japheth Koome had warned that Nasa would not be not allowed to hold the prayer vigil but the coalition reiterated the prayers would go on as planned.
