Ms Odinga said the move will foster unity and enable the Assembly do its work with ease, following months of disagreements which saw the the house split following the impeachment of Ms Adul.

Ms Adul on Tuesday resumed her roles as the Speaker after High Court dismissed her corruption case.

The Speaker had been charged together with Majority and Minority Leaders Samwel Ong'ou and Edwin Anayo respectively, over Sh17.4 million scandal involving procurement of MCAs' trips to China.

The Assembly then impeached Ms Adul and appointed Kondele MCA Gabriel Ochieng as the acting speaker, a move which was appealed by Ms Adul.

The MCAs had however, vowed not to let Ms Adul back to chair Assembly sessions.

The three county officials were however, acquitted after the court failed to find tangible evidence against them, giving them green light to continue with their roles at the Assembly.

Ms Odinga on Thursday urged the MCAs to embrace Adul and let her do her work in order to enable the Assembly achieve its mandates.

"The court did its part and I think the Assembly must now work with Ms Adul so as to foster peaceful co-existance and a serene environment for the MCAs to do their work," said Ms Odinga.

She added: "As a government, we have one objective of service delivery to the people and this is why I urge the MCAs to focus on this because the term of the current government is soon coming to an end and we need to move fast and complete what we were expected to do."
