Tiaty MP William Kamket has hit out at Deputy President William Ruto for frustrating his constitutional amendment bill.
He noted that forces in Jubilee led by DP Ruto have joined hands to frustrate the bill from sailing through.
Speaking at a fundraiser in Tiaty, Kamket took it with the Deputy President saying he is not yet in State House.
“Some people believe falsely that they are already in Statehouse. I want to warn them that even Raila believed he was to become president but that never made it,” He says.
He noted that the Treasury has refused to give a view concerning his bill thus cannot be tabled in the house.
He added that a money bill before publication requires the treasury to give their views since it requires a referendum.
The KANU MP in February drafted a bill seeking to establish a ceremonial presidency.
The bill also seeks to introduce a parliamentary system which introduces an executive Prime Minister’s position and scraping off of the position of the Deputy President.
