Duale says that Governor Rutto adds no value to the already sinking National Super Alliance.

The National Assembly leader of Majority added that the Chama Chama Mashinani (CCM) leader has no numbers to add to NASA’s vote basket and that he risks losing the Bomet gubernatorial seat in the August 8 polls.

“There is nothing for NASA to celebrate about because Governor Rutto does not have numbers to add to their basket,” he said as quoted by the Standard.

The Garissa Township MP said that Governor Rutto has dug his own grave by deciding to support NASA.

“It is good news to us that he (Governor Rutto) has joined NASA because it gives our candidate Joyce Laboso an easy run for the Bomet governor seat,” he said.

The National Assembly Majority leader stated that NASA has no political muscles to unseat President Uhuru Kenyatta’s Jubilee government even with Bomet governor’s support.

“I thought Governor Ruto was wise but he seems not, how can he decide to work with people who even don’t know where they are heading,” Duale said.

Duale asked NASA to brace up for a humiliating defeat in the August polls.

On Tuesday Governor Rutto declared support for NASA. Sources say that he is joining NASA as an equal partner.

The Bomet Governor has however refuted claims that he is eyeing to be endorsed as NASA flag bearer saying that he only supports NASA’s agenda for the country.

Governor Rutto, a critic of Deputy President William Ruto has since assured NASA of Rift Valley votes in the August 8 general election.
