Deputy President William Ruto on Monday revealed his 2022 running mate for the presidential race.
While on campaign tour in Bungoma County, Ruto announced that he would pick Water Cabinet Secretary Eugene Wamalwa as his running mate.
According to Ruto, he will in return support Wamalwa after completing his two terms in office.
Ruto stated that the Luhya support would be easy to clinch the seat and urged the residents to support Jubilee for a better chance of ascending to power in the future.
“My friends, I ask you to support us as we are in this together. You have a realistic chance of winning. I will pick Eugene as my running mate and when I complete my term, I will support him to ascend to the top seat,” DP Ruto stated.
