Deputy President William Ruto, has asked the opposition, Coalition for Reforms and Democracy (CORD) to give its suggestions on strategies on how to deal with terrorism in the country.
Speaking in Kitutu Chacha in Kisii County where he joined residents in a Sunday service at St Anthony Catholic Church, Marani, the deputy president reiterated that the government is doing what it can to ensure terrorism is a thing of the past in the country.
The second in command argued that instead of opposition leaders criticizing measures being put in place by the government to deal with terrorism, they should give their suggestions.
Ruto maintained that the Dadaab camp must be closed in the next three months as is being used to harbour and breed Al-Shabaab members.
Ruto also said the issuance of the contract of building the wall along the Kenya-Somali boarder is not important as of now since lives of Kenyans are at stake.
The deputy president said the wall is already under construction and an electric fence will be erected to keep away crooks, extremists and terrorists.
Leaders from across the country and world at large have criticized the deputy president order to close the Daadab camp in three months failure to which they will be forced to ferry them using buses and lorries back to their country.
The wall construction along Kenya-Somali boarder is being done by the National Youth Service.
