Speaking at St Joseph Catholic church in Nakuru on Sunday, the DP said that the government need prayers from all Kenyans.

He said that they need God’s intervention as they discharge and make decisions that affect the country.

“I want to ask Kenyans to commit the government in prayers so that God can guide us as we discharge our work,” he said.

He added that the government has the interests of all Kenyans at heart and is committed to address the challenges facing them.

The former Eldoret North MP further asked for special prayers concerning the cases facing President Uhuru Kenyatta and himself at the International Criminal Court.

The DP said that they have come from far with the cases and expressed optimism that the ICC will declare them innocent soon.

“It is a matter of time before they declare us innocent so that we can continue to work for the Kenyan people diligently,” he said.

Ruto called on Kenyans to shun politicians who are out to divide them on tribal lines.

He said that time to play politics ended and that it is time for politicians, both in the government and the opposition, to work for Kenyans. The DP added that the government will not tolerate politicians who spew hate messages.
