The ODM Director of Communications Philip Etale has hit out at the Deputy President William Ruto, after he clashed with Siaya Senator James Orengo in Mombasa.
The two leaders publicly differed during the opening of the 3rd Annual Legislative Summit at the Pride Inn Paradise Resort on Tuesday.
Ruto attacked Orengo following referendum and constitutional amendments calls, saying: "On the issue of the referendum, I don’t want to speak about it. Honourable James Orengo wants to drag me there, but not today. Let me say this, lazy people who cannot do things, those who lose elections will always want to use the Constitution as a bogeyman.”
Orengo spoken earlier and criticised those opposed to the amendments, saying they had personalised the discussion and asked them to sober up.
However, in a quick rejoinder, Etale told off Ruto, saying no one from ODM leader Raila Odinga's side was interested in engaging Ruto in a political 'disco dance'.
"Unfortunately, no one from Raila side is interested to engage the DP in political disco dance," Etale said.
Through his Facebook page, he added: "the team is progressively engaged in more serious matters of national importance than dancing to tired music."
