DP William Ruto has continued his attack on NASA leader Raila Odinga for opposing the rerun date. The DP defended IEBC CEO Ezra Chiloba from NASA attacks and called him ‘a small boy’ who does not need to be part of this mighty political war. He cautioned Odinga against targeting the independent institution.

"How do you take pride in [scaring] a small boy in the name of [IEBC chief executive] Ezra Chiloba instead of engaging your peers?" Ruto asked as quoted by the Star.

According to the DP, Raila Odinga is not too mighty to deny Kenyans their right to vote. This comes after Odinga said that he demands Chiloba’s resignation among other things for him to take part in the October 17 poll.

Speaking in Budalangi at former MP Paul Otuoma's home, the DP said that elections must go on with or without Raila Odinga.

"This man cannot be superior enough to hold the country to ransom by stopping an election. He is just an impossible dream. The right of every Kenyan to vote is not negotiable. We do not care...but we believe Kenyans will go to the polls," Ruto said.
