Deputy President William Ruto has weighed in on the expected announcement by NASA leader Raila Odinga on Wednesday.
Speaking on Monday, Ruto declared Opposition leader Raila's highly anticipated announcement on as inconsequential.
He urged Kenyans to ignore him and vote on Thursday during the repeat presidential polls.
He said Odinga had no business speaking on the Presidential election as he had already announced his withdrawal.
“We have nothing to debate or discuss with our competitors. We are anticipating to hear God’s voice through the electorate’s decision on Election Day.”
The Deputy President also announced that the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) be allowed to perform its duties without interference.
“The electoral agency should be left to perform their duties without consulting us as politicians. Ours is to seek votes from the electorate," DP Ruto stated. We have lost a lot through the current political instability. We believe that only the Kenyan people can restore the nation’s dignity by voting on Thursday," said Ruto.
