Deputy President William Ruto has urged the country to register as voters, ahead of the next general election.
Voter registration exercise is set to kick off in January next year.
He asked Kenyans to turn out in large numbers for voter registration in January.
Ruto was addressing more than 4,000 villagers at his Sugoi when he hosted them ahead of New Year celebrations.
“If you don’t register as a voter, then how will you participate in choosing the right leaders to govern this country?” asked the DP.
He further stated that it was important to take part in the election so that to elect credible leaders.
“You should all know that bad leaders are elected by the good citizens who do not vote,” Ruto said.
