Ruto appealed to the Muslim fraternity in the area to conduct special prayers on Friday, while the Seventh Day Adventist prayed on Saturday and other denominations on Sunday

According to Ruto, 20 people from Nakuru County are still missing from the university attack.

“We have two people from Lare, one from Bahati and another one from Kuresoi who perished in the incident,” he added

He was addressing a public forum at the Old town hall on Friday, where he cautioned residents not to allow the terror gangs to divide them along religious lines

“I am also challenging all the Muslim clerics to take up the responsibility of talking and guiding their youth to avoid radicalization, which mostly leads to such horrible occurrences. This will be the best way to detect suspicious behaviour since they will be able to monitor them,” he added.

He further noted that all sympathizers of terrorism acts should be dealt with as terrorists.

“How can we say a person who finances terrorism is not a terrorist? Why are they supporting these heinous acts which kill people? They are terrorists as well,” he added.
