Deputy President William Ruto has promised that his govenemnt will continue ensuring they deliver on their promises to Nyamira and Kisii people.

Speaking on Thursday during rallies in Nyaira, Ruto insisted that they have done a lot as a govnenemnt in terms of struturual development.

Mr Ruto’s tour started at Ekerenyo in Nyamira County where he addressed a rally, before proceeding to Manga Stadium in Kitutu Masaba for the second and final leg of the political rallies in a county seen as a possible swing zone.

“We will continue connecting electricity to homes, markets, towns and schools under the Last Mile Connectivity Programme to enable wananchi utilise it for domestic and commercial purposes, improve security, extend learning hours and realise a 24-hour economy,” he said when he addressed locals at Manga.

The region is considered by Jubilee as a swing vote, even though the NASA coalition considers it ‘one of their own counties’.

“Kisii is no longer a Nasa zone. The DP is just coming to drum up support for the party. He will also meet party leaders," county party secretary Isaac Motari said.

Both coalitions have been traversing the region as they try to consolidate their votes, with only 25 days remaining to the elections.
