Speaking on Sunday at the Tononoka grounds in Mombasa, where he winded up his four-day tour of the Coast region, the deputy president termed failure by the opposition to pick a presidential candidate as a manifestation of disorganisation and disarray.

“That confusion they have in their coalition of not knowing their flag bearer should not be diffused to IEBC," said Ruto.

“The difference between Jubilee and Cord is as clear as day and night. We know in 2017 we will be voting for Uhuru Kenyatta. We know our party is Jubilee and our manifesto is clear to everyone. Our friends in Cord don’t even know who will be their flag bearer,” he added.

Cord is yet to settle on their presidential candidate, with the principals Raila Odinga, Kalonzo Musyoka, and Bungoma Senator Moses Wetangula each maintaining they are the best candidate to smoke President Uhuru out of office.
