Deputy President William Ruto has taken Jubilee's offensive to Bungoma County where he promised to reward the residents if they voted President Uhuru Kenyatta back to office.
Ruto promised the county that he would choose Water Water Cabinet Secretary Eugene Wamalwa as his running mate in the 2022 presidential elections. He urged Western region to rally behind Jubilee for a better chance of rising to power in the future.
“My friends, I ask you to support us as we are in this together. You have a realistic chance of winning. I will pick Eugene as my running mate and when I complete my term, I will support him to ascend to the top seat,” he said.
He also cautioned the electorate against casting their vote for those he said were only concerned about creating powerful positions for themselves and dividing the nation along ethnic lines.
“No one votes with the intention of losing. This is why you should vote for Jubilee as it is destined to win the next election because of its clear vision and agenda for this country,” said Ruto.
