Deputy President William Ruto commented on the results of the general elections and has asked citizens to respect the results of the election.

Ruto spoke during a church service at African Inland Church in Kiborokwa, Soy Constituency and said that there were no electoral malpractices during the August 8 elections thus Kenyans should continue with their lives.

“The just-concluded electoral process gave the country a good reputation worldwide and portrayed Kenya as democratically mature. The process began by peaceful campaigns anchored on policies and real issues and the people have already made a choice that cannot be wished away,” said Ruto as reported by The Standard.

DP Ruto has also asked Kenyans to avoid from engaging from anything that could fuel chaos during this very delicate time.

“The people have made their choice to re-elect us and the court will make a ruling on the matter. I call on all Jubilee elected leaders to completely keep away from politicking and get to work so that we can deliver on the pledges that we made to the electorate and transform livelihoods,” he said.

Ruto went on to assure Kenyans that he would accept the outcome of the Supreme Court case.
