Debate on the 2022 presidential bid is premature and unnecessary, Deputy President William Ruto has said.
“I want to ask all those who are introducing unnecessary debate about 2022, the contest that is present in this arena, is the contest about 2017, and as Jubilee, we are organised. We know whom we are going to vote for, what our political party is, we have a firm manifesto and policy to take this country forward,” said Ruto.
The DP was addressing residents at AIC Kipkeikei High School, in Trans Nzoia County on Saturday after unveiling projects.
Ruto said focus should be directed on the 2017 general election and that the 2022 polls will be dealt with at the right time.
