Deputy President Wiliam Ruto has dismissed claims by some quaters linking him to Ababu Namwamba's alleged plot to ditch ODM.
Speaking in Webuye on Sunday, the Deputy President said Ababu Namwamba and other Western MPs have the ability to decide whether or not to stay in ODM.
“I read in the papers the other day that I tried to recruit Ababu to Jubilee. Ababu and his peers have brains and can make their own decisions regarding who they work with,” he said.
The DP said claims that he is 'buying' CORD legislators are malicious.
Namwamba future at ODM has been in question with reports on Friday claiming he was contemplating resigning from his position as Secretary General.
A number of Western MPs claimed that they felt mistreated in ODM saying they have been neglected in the running of the party affairs.
