On the contrary, Jubilee has been praising the results that show President Kenyatta's popularity skyrocketing. The results suggest that Raila Odinga is likely to lose if he stands against Uhuru Kenyatta in 2017.

In an exclusive interview with the Star, Bomet Governor Isaac Ruto has alleged that the opinion polls are meant to mislead voters.

According to Ruto, the electorate will be made to believe the polls which will be a justification after election 'rigging'.

He told the paper: “I know there are people eager to steal election. They have stolen before, they can still steal. If you see them churning out these opinion polls, they are up to something. They want opinion polls to justify what they intend to do next year. Those are not genuine opinion polls.”
