The countries second in command challenged the opposition to put in order before coming up with ‘unfounded’ claims.

A number of opposition leaders among them James Orengo, Musalia Mudavadi and Moses wetangula have recently accused the government on alleged plans to postpone polls to give room for rigging.

“Our competitors should put their house in order before they start crying foul. Jubilee is ready for elections and those unfounded claims (postponement) should be dismissed,” he said.

He added: “the law is clear and the government has no intention at all to flout it. We are prepared and they should get ready for us.”

According to the constitution, Kenya holds elections on the second Tuesday of August in every fifth year.
