Deputy President William Ruto has affirmed that the next general election date will not be postponed as alleged by a section of opposition leaders.
Speaking in Nakuru during a church service, Ruto maintained that the polls will be held on August 8 as stipulated in the new constitution.
“Those propagating rumors that the polls will be pushed forward are daydreaming,” Ruto said.
On Sunday, Amani National Congress leader Musalia Mudavadi said that the Jubilee government was hatching a plan to postpone the next polls.
