A section of politicians from Kisii County now want the Deputy President William Ruto to agree with the majority on amending tge constitution.
The leaders argued that there was need of making a few changes in the constitution so as it becomes all inclusive.
They also said that it will help in addressing hitches in the electoral process.
Led by South Mugirango MP Sylvanus Osoro they said that the proposed changes in the law will create more powerful positions in the executive and help save the ailing economy as well as political conflicts being witnessed in the country.
"We urge the DP to accept the calls by majority of Kenyans and make a few changes in the constitution which will help solve a number of challenges the country is facing," said Mr Osoro.
Other leaders who attended the function include Bobasi MP Innocent Obiri who asked Ruto not to be worried by the creation of the Prime Minister slot.
The sentiments come at a time when the DP has mantained that he will not allow the constitution to be altered for the benefit of a few individuals.
