Speaking in Rungiri parish in Kiambu County on Sunday, Ruto told Kenyans not to fall victims of deceitful clergymen who demand money in the power of God’s name.

“Kenyans should be on the lookout not to fall victim of fake church preachers in the country who demand money to perform a miracle,” said Ruto.

Ruto further reiterated that Jubelee government is committed in curbing criminal activities in the country, citing the Kapedo Massacre as an example.

Ruto urged leaders to stop dividing Kenyans on ethnic and political backgrounds saying it was time leaders put aside their political differences and took a common stand on issues of development.

“In fact those leaders who still divide Kenyans on tribal grounds are no different from those doing devil worshipping,” joked Ruto.

The deputy president said that despite the various challenges being witnessed in the country, the government is fully in charge.

And while addressing the public after commissioning the Kikuyu road project, the Deputy President said the government will not negotiate with criminals in any part of the country even in the church.
