Deputy President William Ruto has launched an online attack on NASA leader Raila Odinga for allegedly threatening a section of the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) officials.
Ruto said that Raila is a perrenial vote loser who wants to cause disorder in the country because he is frustrated with losing elections.
In a tweet posted on his official Twitter account, Ruto said the country cannot keep changing institutions at every demand of Raila.
"In accordance with our Kenyan Constitution IEBC will prepare and oversee presidential election in October," he said, dismissing Raila's demand that no elections be held on the said date.
"For how long will one man, unable to win elections, continue to blackmail 45m Kenyans using threats of violence, chaos, bloodshed and anarchy?"
Ruto said the IEBC is protected by law and that the officials will serve into the next polls as stated in their contracts.
