The war of words between Deputy President William Ruto and Baringo Senator Gideon Moi has hit a high again with Mr Moi accusing Mr Ruto of ignoring the plight of the people of Rift Valley.
Moi on Tuesday through his official Facebook account accused the DP of taking Rift Valley residents for a ride.
"I will not allow William Ruto to dictate to me or force my people into one sack like potatoes," Moi said.
"In as much as we are in the same boat to transform the lives of our people in Rift Valley and Kenya at large, we will not do it under duress from deputy president."
Ruto and Moi have had a frosty relationship since the year began with accusations and counter accusations being traded by the two leaders.
Moi mainly accuses Ruto of failing to use his position as DP to uplift the living standards of the people from the expansive and vote-rich region.
Ruto on the other hand, in February, stirred talk when he likened Moi to an uncircumcised man while on a tour at Belgut.
Political analysts argue that Moi posses a big threat to the political grip that the DP currently enjoys in Rift Valley.
They argue that even without Ruto, President Uhuru Kenyatta can still collaborate with Moi and win the Kalenjin votes in Rift Valley in 2017.
"Let’s help address the plight of our people and shelve the political confrontations until when its time is due," Moi added.
"Kenya is bigger than any individual. Kanu will not join Jubilee Party."
Kanu, the independence party has clearly indicated it will not dissolve to join the Jubilee party, which, Mr Kenyatta intends to ride on in defending his seat in 2017.
Ruto is working hard to win the support of the Kalenjin community at a time Kanu is slowly gaining support in Rift Valley.
