Deputy President William Ruto has given the governments position on the planned searing of NASA leader Raila Odinga.
The event is set for Tuesday at Uhuru Park grounds.Speaking on Sunday, Ruto said that the government does not recognise the event.
The DP said that election period is over and the government is now focussing on development.
"The people had decided on their leaders during the elections and that's a closed chapter," he said.
He mainatined that teh government will serve all Kenyans regardless of the political affiliations.
The Deputy President was accompanied by Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko, Taita Taveta Governor Granton Samboja, and MPs Kimani Ichung’wa (Kikuyu), James Gakuya (Embakasi North), Charles Njagua (Starehe) and Maina Kamanda (nominated).
