Deputy President William Ruto has yet again launched a scathing attack on Bomet Governor Isaac Rutto, insisting that the former Chepalungu MP will be taking ‘care’ of goats in August.
Rutto, who has since fallen out with the DP, is the pioneer of Chama Cha Mashinani which is reportedly invading Jubilee Party traditional strongholds in Rift Valley.
And on Saturday a visibly agitated Ruto accused the governor of being an impediment to Jubilee government development in the region.
“That Mashinani man is a prophet of doom. When we are bringing development here, he is busy inciting locals. You remember about Bomet University which we shall launch anyway,” he said sarcastically adding that Jubilee will build a university in Bomet town.
The DP added: “In August, I will ensure he will be taking care of goats and not the people of Bomet. He cannot probably threaten us.”
Even though Rutto is yet to publically support any presidential candidate, he has however been having a cordial relationship with ODM leader Raila Odinga.
Notably, the outspoken Governor has often accused the DP of allegedly interfering with internal matters of Bomet County.
