Deputy President William Ruto has hailed Thika MP Alice Ng’ang’a for helping the country in achieving the Jubilee manifesto of ensuring that education is the main agenda in the country.

Ruto said that the government of Kenya had pledges to support education and to equip Kenyans with knowledge at an affordable fee and the MP is helping in making the dream come true.

“Jubilee is in support of education and the MP is trying hard to realise the dream of our manifesto thus we should embrace such leaders who are rare to find,” said Ruto.

DP Ruto who was speaking on Friday at the newly opened Thika Girls School said that leaders who support education in Kenya are very few and thus Ng’ang’a is among the leaders Kenya needs to help realise the Vision 2030.

Ruto opened the Constituency Development Fund Project (CDF) classrooms; Health Centre and dining hall in the constituency which he says will boost health status in the region and provide excellent service to the people of Thika.

He also revealed that the government of Kenya has pledges enough funds in the financial year to support education from the grassroots and by the end of the year, all public primary school will be able to access electricity in their schools.

He said that Mashinani schools also have the potential to compete in a public ground with private schools thus electricity will facilitate good learning environment.

“We should have equal fighting grounds for all the school regardless of the public or private institutions in Kenya,” said Ruto

Ruto said that the electricity will not only boost education but also help the community in the environs of the school to access electricity in their homes thus promoting the development in the country and boost the economy as well.
