Bomet governor Isaac Ruto has hit back at President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy, William Ruto, for insulting him during their tour to Bomet on Saturday.
Barely days after being attacked by Uhuru and Ruto for allegedly using and dumping Jubilee, Ruto has pledged to popularize Chama Cha Mashinani (CCM) to counter the Jubilee party wave in South Rift.
"I am disappointed that Jubilee leaders who are supposed to be symbols of national unity have reduced themselves to touring the county to intimidate and insult others. As for me, I have restrained myself but what I would like to tell them is that I will continue the marketing campaign for CCM in South rift region and across the country," Ruto was quoted by the Standard.

Ruto insisted that the utterances by both President Uhuru Kenyatta and DP Ruto are catalysts to tribal conflicts asking the duo to restrain from such careless talk.
"I hope that 2017 will usher a new dawn for the jubilee leaders and they will restrain themselves from making careless utterances," said Ruto.
