Bomet Governor Isaac Ruto has said Kenya must be liberated from poor leadership in the forthcoming general polls. Ruto, a proposed deputy premier secretary in the NASA administration, said President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto have failed to keep the promises they made when they were seeking votes in 2013, adding that time has come for Jubilee to go home. “We must liberate this country to ensure that we are led by policies of justice and equality. All Kenyans are equal and deserve to live in dignity,” said Ruto, as quoted by The Star. The Chama Cha Mashinani Party leader also said the current government has robbed what belongs to the common mwananchi, adding that Jubilee does not deserve another term in office.“They have stolen everything, they have stashed the wealth abroad and have made Kenyans paupers in their own country,” he said.Ruto, who was speaking on Thursday during a rally at Uhuru Park rally where Raila Odinga was unveiled as the NASA flag bearer with Wiper’s Kalonzo Musyoka as his deputy, further said that he regrets backing Jubilee in 2013.“I erred by supporting this Jubilee. We thought we had formed a government of the people but when they took over power, they marshaled a tyranny of numbers and started oppressing Kenyans,” he added.
