Bomet Governor Isaac Rutto at a past function [Photo/nation.co.ke]Bomet Governor Isaac Rutto has said that he joined National Super Alliance (NASA) under the leadership of former Prime Minister Raila Amolo Odinga to rescue the people of his county from Deputy President William Ruto.
The Chama Cha Mashinani leader argues that he (DP Ruto) has been using the people of his county and the entire nation for selfish gains.
“I joined NASA to rescue this county and I promise to cut his influence down to sizes should he not realize his mistakes. We cannot be carried as sacks of potatoes,” he said.
The county boss, who has been a strong critic of the current leadership, also said that DP Ruto needs special prayers ahead of the forthcoming general polls, adding that he has been defending corrupt leaders.
“He (Ruto) is myopic and needs special prayers my brothers. He is being misused to defend a government that cannot feed its people. He is often defending corruption.”
The fallout between the Rutos has shifted the political situation of Rift Valley and Kenya as a whole.
The governor has assured Raila that he will deliver the opposition more than 1.5 million votes that will change the outcome of the Presidential election when that comes.
